Skua Blog

Upgrades

September 25, 2008 — This update includes some minor visual adjustments but focuses on providing a better user experience. You’ll notice the use of Javascript/AJAX to handle most of the user requests such as adding and removing favorites, reminders, etc.

Email Reminders

August 31, 2008 — Starting today, the reminders you list on Skua will now be delivered to your inbox. Each weekend you’ll receive an email of any release or show that is scheduled for the upcoming week. This is a great way to stay connected to Skua and all the upcoming releases and shows you’re interested in. Of course, if you would rather not receive these emails you can opt-out by changing your preferences once signed in to the site. More new features are on there way so keep coming back!

Fresh Start

July 18, 2008 — So far things have been working out well, but I felt Skua needed less. When I started this project I wanted to keep the site small and focus on the main goal of the site — keep track of new music. After months of development it started to bulk up. So that is what this release is all about... focus. Skua is new, improved, and to the point. It does exactly what it needs to do, and in style. You might notice some things are missing but the core features are still the same. The new improved design should work out the interface issues in the first iteration and I think it makes the site generally more appealing.

Welcome to Skua

May 3, 2008 — After many months of design and development, Skua is finally online. I would like to give a big thanks to those who have helped test Skua and those who have given feedback. It has been greatly appreciated. I hope you all will continue to give feedback while development continues. With that said, enjoy the site and please spread the word and help the Skua community grow. I’ll be posting information here about any updates or news relating to Skua, so check back soon.
